The RTDT Research Affiliate Programme space - helping to improve data sharing in wind energy

RTDT Laboratories is an ETH Zurich spin-off developing a universal tech stack for Structural Health Monitoring as a service of wind energy assets, for cloud and edge. The RTDT Research Affiliate Programme brings together researchers with real data and WeDoWind Challenges from the industry in order to create state-of-the-art open-source models and analysis tools for wind turbine Structural Health Monitoring. Recently we were able to use the interim results of the first challenge to contribute to a Research Data Alliance grant project aiming to develop recommendations for improved data sharing in wind energy.

Join the Open Data Exploration space with knowledge sharing pioneer Charlie Plumley!

Last year we launched the Cubico Open Data Exploration (CODE) space together with Charlie Plumley, with the aim of bringing together a community of people working on the open data sets provided by Cubico Sustainable Investments. Now this space is opening up to explore other open data sets, and changing its name from the Cubico Open Data Exploration (CODE) space to the Open Data Exploration (ODE) space!

Introducing our new Turbine Performance Quantification Collaboration

In the first half of 2023, we successfully completed the Power Curve Modelling Benchmarking Challenge as part of our Data-Driven Turbine Performance Analysis space with Professor Yu Ding from Georgia Tech, author of the Data Science for Wind Energy book. The results of this challenge will be presented in March 2024 at the Wind Europe Annual Event in Bilbao. In the meantime, we are happy to announce our new Turbine Performance Quantification Collaboration within the same space, which starts in January 2024!
